Do industrial piercings hurt?
All piercings hurt. That said, yes, industrial piercings do hurt! I got mine done 5 days ago and I love it! It hurts more than a lobe piercing, but that is mostly during the healing and not the actual piercing. When I got both sets of my lobes pierced, I was able to sleep comfortalby (on one side) the same night, and they did not give me any trouble during the healing process whatsoever. 5 days after my industrial, my ear still feels hot to the touch most of the time, and accidentally bumping it is excruciating! The actual piercing was fine. I was talking with my friend, so I didn’t know when my piercer was going to do the first hole, so she kind of surprised me. I was definitely more surprised than in pain. The second hole was a little harder because she had to push a bit to get the needle through all the way, but still not too painful. The worst part was her pushing the bar through. That hurt! But the whole process was done in less than 10 minutes.
