This partnership was originally known as Freeport-McMoRan Resource Partners Limited Partnership. Limited partnership units in FRP were publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange. When FTX merged into IMC Global, the name was changed to Phosphate Resource Partners Limited Partnership (NYSE: PLP). PLP was merged into a wholly-owned subsidiary of IMC Global shortly before the combination of IMC Global and Cargill’s fertilizer businesses. In the merger PLP unitholders received one share of IMC Global for each five PLP units they held. Like other IMC Global shares, these shares then converted to shares of Mosaic. There is no longer a market for the PLP units.
