Why does a hot-air balloon float?

0

When you heat up air, the particles inside air vibrate faster because they have more energy. Thus they are more spaced out. This way it becomes lighter and less dense. Thus, like oil floats on water because it is lighter, hot air rises on top of cool air. And when there’s enough hot air in the balloon, it rises like a helium balloon!
