What do red slider turtles eat in the wild.( their natural food )?
Well red sliders eat a variety of food in wild actually. when there juvenile they tend to stick to meat. Although as they age they will eventually become mainly vegetarian, eating wild underwater plants. As juveniles they mainly pray on small fish/minnows, tad poles, small frogs, crayfish such as crawdads, snails, or really anything they can get there hands on. There not very picky actually. They will however eat some plant matter even at a young age.
