What the Heck are “Trouser Poles?”?
You haven’t described them in any detail but I do know of a spacesaving trouser pole device that is still sold. It was a pressure fit pole that was set up vertically in the closet and had a series of small fold away horizontal poles attached to it. By draping trousers over the small rods at the knee area of the trousers and then compressing the rods with trousers flat against each other, many more trousers could be hung in a smaller space.
