Bergen is well known for their fish, so you should try some fish dishes. Norwegian salmon is world famous and very good. You can have it smoked, baked, grilled or cooked. I prefer it grilled and baked. It is eaten with potatoes, sour cream and root vegetables. It’s really good! As someone mentioned, meatballs is also a really good Norwegian dish. Served with what we call “brown sauce”, potatoes (of course :P) and foxberry jam. These are dishes that Norwegians actually do eat quite often. Lefse is something we eat very rarely. It is eaten with butter, cinnamon and sugar. I have never tasted lutefisk, along with most Norwegians. It sound disgusting though.
