The true fire rated tank designation is fire-protected. Fire-protected means a tank is labeled with Underwriters Laboratories 2085 standard and has passed ULs two hour fire test, hose stream test, impact test, ballistics test and air tests. Other designations exist, however, only fire-protected tanks can carry ULs 2085 label.
