What is Halvah?
Halvah is a natural snack that many people say was invented thousands of years ago. It is safe to say that most people whose families come from the Mediterranean or Eastern Europe and most places in between are familiar with halvah of one form or another. Halvah is made from milled sesame seeds (tahina), egg whites, and usually 50-60% granulated sugar. It is a delicious treat that many people associate with their childhood.
