What are cardiac treadmill stress tests?
Stress tests or treadmill tests are tests conducted under the direct supervision of a physician or a specifically trained health care provider and are designed to evaluate the performance of a patient’s heart and blood vessels during the stress of exercise. Patients run on a treadmill for several minutes with ECG tracings monitored before, during, and after their exercise to determine relative heart fitness. At Evergreen Health, we now have a state-of-the-art treadmill machine and are scheduling stress tests as needed.
