What is a Non-threaded Fastener?
A fastener that is used without threads is a non-threaded fastener. Examples of this are pins, rivets, retaining rings, key stock, and woodruff keys. Non-threaded fasteners use pressure to join the two objects. Hook and loop is another example of a non-threaded fastener. Hook and loop is a cloth or plastic material that adheres to a male and female side.
