Just as hand lotion restores dried and rough skin, ShingleLife rejuvenates installed roof shingles. ShingleLife is a proprietary water based emulsion containing a methyl ester of soybean oil (MESO) and several emulsifying agents. When applied to the roof shingles, the water in the emulsion quickly evaporates, allowing the MESO droplets to be absorbed into the asphalt substrate. This absorption process serves to instantly restore the asphalt’s volatile elements that have evaporated or leached out as the shingle ages, causing the shingle to be more supple and pliable.
