Is lolita/steampunk/other fashion okay to cosplay?
While they are considered fashion and not cosplay, many people do wear them to conventions. There is such thing as cosplay-lolita (and I am sure there are cosplay versions of the other styles), which is basically a lolita outfit that is worn while cosplaying a character from a series, or it can refer to a lolita that is wearing it like a costume (usally this means they are not following “proper” rules of lolita, or are wearing costume-ish accessories like cat ears) It is always a good idea to research a style before you wear it.
