How long will a Greyhound live?
A Greyhound is one of the longest lived big dogs. Its large heart provides the necessary vascular system needed in an athlete. Most other large breeds do not have enough heart to support the size of the dog, thus the life span is often fairly short. The Greyhound is a purebred dog with an ancient history as a coursing animal. With proper care they can have a life expectancy of twelve or more years.
