What it takes to be a bartender?
Not much really. I do a lot of schmoozing, ya know saying what they want to hear, a little flirty but with respect if they are with someone. Also a bubbly happy smile helps big time. If music is playing, grooving to it as your pouring or at the till also helps. Refer back to people even if they are no where near a finished drink. Always thank them for coming in to see you. If too busy to tend to everyone, make sure you make eye contact and smile and say I’ll be right back to you and make sure you make it back to them.. It’s way too much fun to be a bartender.. You make the experience along with the atmosphere of where you work, but for the most part its up to you to make it happen. Hope you do it cuz it is fun fun fun fun fun.
