Yes, both existing first-generation iPhones and new 3G iPhones are supported, as is the iPod Touch. In all cases, we recommend first making sure you have the latest iPhone/iPod Touch software upgrade, as above. 3G iPhones can play Pandora via WiFi, 3G and EDGE connections. First-generation iPhones can play Pandora over WiFi and EDGE connections. The iPod Touch requires a WiFi connection to access Pandora. For all devices, the 1.1 and 1.2 updates of the Pandora iPhone app now permit WiFi connections to stream Pandora in full 128kbps stereo. The 1.2 update offers even better audio with 3G and EDGE connections, including a listener-configurable setting to toggle between lower or higher bitrate, as well as much smoother recovery after a dropped signal.
