Is surveying a good job?
That depends on a lot of things. There are a ton of different jobs in the surveying profession. If you eventually become a licensed surveyor, you may spend a lot of time in an office researching prospective jobs, preparing drawings, meeting clients, etc. A field person would spend most of his time out doors. That person would need to be able to handle adverse conditions, and would also need to be organized, a critical thinker, and a problem solver. A person would also have to look at whether he/she would like to work in the land surveying field, or in construction. Each one has their good and bad points.
