I think maybe the word you meant was import (to bring into the US). If that is the case, you should know that there is probably not a rush of people looking to import wild Burms anymore. Several years back when Burmese Pythons were all the rage with herp hobbyist, those who had them began breeding them like crazy! Today, there are still several private breeders and breeding farms across the states. This reduced the number of people looking to bring wild caught snakes in. Then you have the problem with all of the pythons being released across the southeast US…Florida in particular. These release animals have adapted to the swampy areas and have begun productively breeding.
