Where is the PDI located?
The PDI is located within the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (MDHSS) in Jefferson City, Missouri. Interns appointed to the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services Program for Dietetic Interns will be expected to complete a five (5) day WIC training (if not previously completed) in the summer prior to the start of or at the beginning of the internship program year. The WIC training requires completion of self-study modules prior to attending the training. The PDI meets for several weeks in Jefferson City throughout the year for classes or didactic portions of the internship, projects, and practicum experiences. The program has affiliate sites throughout the state. Practicum experiences are made in consideration of the intern’s geographical location whenever possible, however, depending upon location, and due to limited sites in some areas, this may not always be feasible.
