Are flushable moist wipes/toddler wipes safe for my septic tank?

0

Septic systems are notourious for being more sensitive than a run of the mill toilet system. That said, no matter what type of sewage your home has you should never flush wipes toddler or otherwise down the toilet. It’s easy for them to get backed up, and while they say "safe to flush" on the package, they are anything but.

If you are keen on using wipes, throw them in the garbage. If you insist on flushing keep it to a minimum because regardless of how new your home is, or what the packaging says toilets are just not able to handle multiple wipes being flushed per day.

Independent testing revealed that Flushable Moist Wipes and Toddler Towels are safe for the sewers and septic systems; however, when flushing, only flush one or two wipes per use.
