How will recession affect the medical transcription field?
Health care is one of the most stable and always growing industries. Health care is immune to recession. The demand for medical services all the subordinate products and services such as medical transcription will never decline. A growing and aging population will enhance the demand for medical transcription services as older age group requires proportionately larger number of medical tests, treatments and procedures, that requires documentation. A high level of demand for transcription services also will be sustained by the continued need for electronic documentation that can be easily shared among providers, third-party payers, regulators, and consumers. Growing number of medical transcriptionists will be needed to alter patients’ records, edit grammar, and discover discrepancies in medical records.
