What has RDF done so far?
When RDF was conceived, the focus was on more than just education. Activities centered around Education, Health, Infrastructure, Environment and Livelyhood Enhancement. Frequent health, eye and family planning camps were conducted in the past. RDF also played a significant role in the construction of link roads between local villages, installation of drinking water taps, establishement of a microwave communication tower. It also partnered with Rural Telecom Foundation to implement a novel telecom project that brought the shared line concept to the rural villages. RDF also worked to promote the use of eco friendly bio pesticides, wormiculture and spread the knowledge of SRI rice cultivation techniques. In the area of livelyhood enhancement, RDF help set up a local bread manufacturing facility.
