Are ferrets good pets to have ?
It’s good to see you asking these questions before you get a ferret. It is always better to be prepared and know what you are getting yourself into…… I also think ferrets are adorable, and for the right person, they can be awesome pets! I personally have 2 female ferrets, 1 is 2 1/2 years old and the other is 5 months old. I have had ferrets for many, many years. My older girl is very laid back. She loves to cuddle and give kisses. She seeks me out for attention. The 5 month old, well, she’s rambunctious! LOL She is constantly on the go. Running and playing. Neither of my ferrets bite. Nor have they ever. If you get a young kit and it is nippy, you’ll need to “nip train” which is basically scruffing them, and dragging them a short distance. Much as mom ferret would do when scolding. Consistency is the key. As for care, ferrets have a high metabolism, so they eat often (every 3 hours or so) which means they also poop often.
