My duck has died.How can I get over it?
I’m sorry to hear that, but you can’t hand raise a duck on its own and expect it to be fine in the wild… I’m afraid this was totally inevitable. Don’t buy any more baby ducks. It was cruel of you, can you see that? You took a duckling, kept him on his own, with no pond – all of which is totally against nature – and then sent him to be with other ducks in the wild! They’d have picked on him, he was left without his usual shelter and food, he’d have been terrified, he wasn’t equipped at all for it. I’m sorry to have been so harsh, but I really don’t want you to get another duckling unless you can look after it.
