Also, you may wish to consider a wardrobe consisting largely of apparel made by Fubu, Tommy Hilfiger, and Lugz. Make sure your trousers are several sizes larger than your waistline dimensions, and ensure that your boxer shorts and “gat” (handgun) are visible. I’m going to (try) to tell you how to become a great, famous rapper. First off, listen to rap. Don’t listen to this whack stuff, go blast some Nas, Rakim, BIG, Tribe called Quest, LL cool J, Jay-z and study what makes them so great. Next, learn how to write rhymes: I would suggest rap battles, they are awesome ways to learn to rap. Third, create your own style: No great rapper ever copied another’s style (at least not to the point that they sounded the same). Next, try to get into the hip hop community, go to local rap shows, meet local MC’s, send in tapes to local radio stations & producers. Eventually, once youv’e built up a local track record, try doing things like opening for a big name, or sending in a demo to a record company. Lastly, stay true, if you start out with a signature style, stay true to it, never sell out on yourself to sell records.
