Whats up with the Womyns festival?
There is a festival called the “Michigan Womyn’s Music Festival” that is held annually in the states. Recently, the board of directors for that group enacted a “Womyn born womyn” policy that barred post-operative transsexuals from attending the event. This quickly spiraled out of control. Womyn at the event were admitting they were transsexual and leaving of their own free will. Other women at the event passed around petitions to get the policy revoked. Some of the security guards refused to expel transsexual people at the event. During one incident, someone took the literature from a booth that was set up to distribute pro-TS information and threw it in a river. There were threats made that any transsexual going into the festival would be met with violence.
