What is CLPs position on Electromagnetic Fields(EMF)?
CLP is committed to full compliance of international standards and regulations on safety, health and environment and adopts best practices for our power systems to meet standards relating to Electromagnetic Fields (EMF). Our supply system and substations in Hong Kong operate in full compliance with the International Commission Guidelines on Non-Ionising Radiation Protection (ICNIRP) which are part of the World Health Organization (WHO) Health Criteria Programme . These Guidelines have been adopted by the HKSAR Government. CLP has always been working with the Government to carry out tests and measurements on its overhead line systems to make sure it is fully complied with the ICNIRP guidelines.
