Can someone snap out of being passive aggressive?

There are four styles of interpersonal communication, passive, passive aggressive, aggressive and assertive. The most effective style of communication is assertive communication. Regardless of your style of communication, you can be taught to consistently use assertive communication.

Assertive communication and assertive behavior can be taught by Certified Anger Management Facilitators or Emotional Intelligence Providers.

No, a passive person can’t become an aggressive person any more than an aggressive person can become passive. Our chemistry combined with our personal experiences define who we are. You can’t change that, you can pretend to be something your not, but it will always catch up to you, the scientific term for this is called a relapse. I call it trying to live a lie and very unhealthy. How can one say to accept yourself for who you are, yet tell you to change who you are because who you are is not acceptable to them? If you don’t want to hear the complaints of a passive aggressive person, tell them so, it is just their way of seeking help with problems. I know because I am a passive aggressive person.
